Robyn Davidson

Episode 6 of ‘From A to Me’ brings you writer and traveller, Robyn Davidson. In 1977, aged 27, Robyn walked 3000 kilometres alone across the Australian desert, with a dog and four camels.

Her novel Tracks – an international best seller, published in 20 languages, and now an international feature film – documents her amazing journey. The success that followed launched Robyn’s extraordinary career as a writer, explorer, filmmaker and cultural commentator.

Robyn reflects on what comes of facing your fears, and why they might exist in the first place. If you can “contemplate what it means to cross that boundary” Robyn believes this provides “a wonderful avenue for growing beyond something that’s rigid and determined”.
